The United States Postal Service will be issuing a stamp to honor 60s singing great Janis Joplin; the design of the stamp is shown above. It will be coming to a post office near you sometime in August; the exact date has yet to be announced. The Janis Joplin stamp stamp is part of the USPS’s Music Icons series of stamps which so far has included Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Cash, Ray Charles and Lydia Mendoza. The new stamp will likely be in the same format as those previously issued ones, with 16 stamps to a sheet.

Help catch a thief. Someone walked off with a guitar from Ottos’s Shrunken Head about 10 days ago, and the club is looking for your help. Here’s what the club says:
Hi, all!
We are looking for a little help with finding out who this gentleman is in these photos.
Last Saturday, June 21st into Sunday morning June 22nd he was seen walking out with a guitar case that belonged to a band member that had played earlier that night. He was seen entering Otto’s around 11pm Saturday night & leaving with the guitar case a little after 1am. Please share & let us know any information you may have. Thank you.
